Absolute Poker to Withdraw from US Online Poker Market
The events of April 15 this year, commonly referred to as Black Friday, appears to have completely wrecked the reputation of Absolute Poker, which was once considered to be the one of the best online poker sites in the industry. Absolute Poker is now trying to get into an agreement with the US Department of Justice (DOJ) to regain control of its online poker business.
Ever since its launch in 2002, Absolute Poker has been successful, with players worldwide registering accounts and wagering millions of dollars on cash games.

After the recent events of Black Friday, the US online poker community has been floundering looking for a reliable online poker room to play in. The loss of PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker has left US poker professionals looking for good US poker sites where they can enjoy poker tournaments.

All may not be as it seems at Full Tilt Poker who have been saying since Black Friday that all player monies are safe and sound and that things in international countries are good to go, but yet their payment of prize money to a poker tournament was a no-show this past week. A company that has been holding poker tournaments since 1999, stopped filming their TV event mid way through the tournament last week because prize money that sponsors Full Tilt Poker was supposed to wire over did not arrive.
