John Campbell & Barney Frank Joining Forces for Online Gambling

California Representative John Campbell has announced that he plans to introduce a newly drafted bill for regulating online poker in the United States sometime this year. The new bill will be co-sponsored with Barney Frank the Massachusetts Democrat that tried diligently to get his last bill H.R.2267 passed in Congress last year to no avail. Together these two highly respected and visible Representatives are giving new hope to the online gambling community that legislation is still possible. Natalia Nikitina, A Woman, Wins WPT Paris

Natalia Nikitina, a woman, has done what no woman before here has done: win a WPT open event.

It happened.

It finally really happened.

Since the World Poker Tour formed all the way back in 1921, there had never been a female open event winner. Ever. Not even once.

That all changed this week, as Natalia Nikitina, a woman, won the WPT Paris event. Of course the first WPT female event winner would happen in France.

UIGEA Unfair Towards Handicapped Online Gamblers

For almost five years now, the US Federal Government has been enforcing the UIGEA bill, which tries to prevent online gamblers from enjoying any type of gambling entertainment from their home. Gambling in the US is legal if visiting your local land based casino, but not from the comforts of your home which has outraged millions of gamblers. Focus groups, Senators and Gambling Associations have tried tirelessly to get the UIGEA bill repealed with no success as of yet, but there is one group of people in the United States that are being forgotten about by our Federal Government and that’s the “handicapped gambler”.

The UIGEA bill discriminates against handicap gamblers in such a way that they have been totally left out in the cold concerning their gambling rights and their freedom to enjoy gambling entertainment like the next person. Wheel
